30 members of the Defence Force are joining the clean up operation in Donegal this morning.
They've been deployed to Inishowen to assist the County Council while they continue to assess the extent of the damage caused by Tuesday nights heavy rainfall. Up to 250 homes were affected with a number of people in Burnfoot left homeless and in need of emergency accommodation. Extreme flooding also caused major infrastructure damage in the county with a number of bridges and roads in need of repair. Defence Minister Paul Kehoe says it's been a major crisis for the people of Donegal.
