Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD, has announced €270,000 in funding for the protection and restoration of heritage buildings in Wexford.
The funding, under the Historic Structures Fund, will support three projects: €90,000 for conservation at Saunderscourt Gate Lodges in Crossabeg, €90,000 for roof and masonry repairs at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Laurence O'Toole in Rathangan, and €90,000 for roof repairs at St. Michael’s Theatre in New Ross.
Minister Browne highlighted that this investment will preserve Wexford's architectural legacy, create jobs in the heritage sector, and support the upkeep of vital landmarks.
