Uncertainty still surrounds the future position of a Junior Minister from the South East in Government.
John Halligan has threatened to resign over the findings of a clinical review - which found there was no need for a second cat lab at University Hospital Waterford. Mr Halligan has warned he would 'bring all hell down on top of the Government' - if it doesn't deliver on his demands. He also said he wouldn't be intimidated and accused Fine Gael of a stitch up and three party Ministers of 'dirty politics'. If Mr Halligan does resign - the Government will be dependent on the support of former Fine Gael Minister Michael Lowry to survive.
