A new free peer support group for parents and carers is being launched in Wexford Town, offering families a chance to meet others, share experiences and access practical advice and local support.
The group is fully funded through Pobal and follows a “for families, by families” approach. It is open to all parents and carers, with a particular focus on families of children experiencing distress or risk behaviours.
The group will meet on the last Tuesday of every month from 9.30am to 10.30am at Y35 K684 in Wexford Town.
There is no referral required, and parents and carers can simply attend. Dr Deirdre Kearney, Principal Behavioural Psychologist and Director of The Behaviour Clinic, is involved in the initiative.
