New grant incentive scheme for wexford town
A new grant incentive scheme is being introduced in Wexford Town in the hope of bringing more jobs to the area. The Economic Development Office at Wexford County Council has identified a number of vacant offices in the town which they hope will be filled as a result of the new scheme. Businesses who decide to rent the proporties will be given a significant rates rebate over a 3 year period. A similar scheme is in place in Templeshannon in Enniscorthy. Padraig O'Gorman is the economic development officer. He says they're trying to attract sectors to the town which don't have a strong presence in the area.
