New report show people are staying in hospitals for less time
The amount of time patients are staying in hospitals across the South East is getting shorter. That's according to a report being published on behalf of the HSE. The research carried out by the ESRI examined activity in fifty seven public hospitals participating in the hospital in-patient enquiry scheme. The average length of stay in 2012 was four point one days - that's a decrease of 5% since 2011.
