New Ross Piano Festival Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Gala Concert

The New Ross Piano Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special Two Piano Gala Concert at the National Opera House, Wexford, on April 19th, 2026. Festival Artistic Director Finghin Collins will be joined by internationally renowned pianist Barry Douglas for an afternoon of energetic and beautiful music featuring two pianos on stage. The festival, established in 2006, has become one of Europe’s top classical music events, presenting solo and chamber concerts with world-class musicians. Collins, who gained international recognition in 1999 after winning the Clara Haskil Competition and Douglas, famous for winning the Tchaikovsky International Competition in 1986, will deliver a programme featuring works by Schubert, Prokofiev, Mozart and Rachmaninov. Tickets for the anniversary concert are available through the National Opera House box office.
