A new bridge similar in design to the new construction over the River Barrow as part of the New Ross bypass has been officially opened in Scotland.
The Queensferry Bridge over the Firth of Forth between Edinburgh and Fife is an extension of the M90 motorway and is 2.7Km in length. The opening was performed Queen Elizabeth after thousands walked across it over the weekend as it is now permanently closed to pedestrians. Enniscorthy resident Antonio Santos is a design engineer with construction company SOSIA and worked on the bridge He is currently involved in the construction of the similar bridge over the River Barrow.
