New Wexford Starter Homes scheme launched with prices from €225,000

Wexford County Council has launched its ninth Starter Homes scheme at The Dairy Fields in Ferrybank. The new coastal development will provide a selection of one, two and three-bedroom homes, with prices starting from €225,000.

The scheme was officially launched by Minister for Housing James Browne TD, alongside Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council Councillor Lisa McDonald, Deputy Mayor of Wexford Borough District Councillor Robbie Staples, elected members and representatives from the Council and development team.

The launch marks the latest stage in Wexford County Council's programme to support homeownership across the county.It also marks the transition from the former Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme to the new Starter Homes Support programme.

The Council says the new programme builds on its previous work providing affordable homeownership opportunities and is aimed at helping eligible households take their first step onto the property ladder.

Minister James Browne says Wexford County Council is demonstrating leadership in delivering Government-supported affordable housing.He says the scheme is helping to turn the aspiration of homeownership into reality for working households.

The Dairy Fields is located just minutes from Wexford town and is described as a coastal residential development combining contemporary design with its location.

Applications will open on September 28th at 12 noon. Homes will be available subject to the terms and eligibility criteria of the Starter Homes Support programme.
