No one is forced to get the public services card - doherty

The Social Protection Minister says no one is being forced to get the new public services card.

The government's faced backlash after some people claimed money and services were being withheld because they don't have the card. Regina Doherty says her department requires the card so staff can verify people's identities. She says it's not compulsory but it is mandatory if you want to claim money from the government.
