Sinn Féin TD Fionntán Ó Súilleabháin has criticised the Minister for Education’s decision to pause SNA reviews, saying it offers little reassurance to families worried about their children's education.
Ó Súilleabháin called the planned SNA cuts cruel and warned they would harm children who rely on this vital support.
Speaking to south east radio news He said that the government’s criteria for allocating SNAs is outdated, failing to reflect growing needs in schools.
He’s demanding that all planned cuts be scrapped and that no further reviews occur until a full SNA workforce development plan is completed to ensure proper support for children with additional needs
