A fake news story has led to threats of nuclear war between Israel and Pakistan.

A false report was published quoting a former Israeli Defence Minister threatening to destroy Pakistan if it sent troops into Syria. The Pakistani Defence Minister thought the report was real. He took to Twitter warning Israel that Pakistan is also a nuclear state, prompting increased tensions between the countries.
