Orange flood alerts in wexford, galway * munster
Local authorities remain on high alert for flood and weather related damage, with further storms forecast. Met Eireann has an orange alert in place until eight o'clock tonight, for Munster and counties Wexford and Galway. But Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan, who's visited Wexford and Waterford today to review destruction by the storm damage, says his department is looking at structural work to prevent further damage. And he SAYS the Department of Social Protection is providing humanitarian assistance to people who've lost all their belongings.
