Orange Weather Warning for Wexford as Storm Bram Approaches

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange Wind Warning for Wexford and several other counties as Storm Bram brings strong to gale-force southeasterly winds. The warning is in effect from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9th, with the strongest winds expected along the coast. Impacts include potential flooding of low-lying coastal areas, wave overtopping, difficult travel conditions, and the risk of debris and loose objects being displaced. Outdoor events are also likely to be impacted by the severe weather conditions. Additionally, a Status Yellow Rain Warning has been issued for Wexford and surrounding counties from 9:00 PM Monday, December 8th, to 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 9th. Heavy rain on already saturated ground could lead to localised flooding, difficult travel and disruptions to outdoor events. A further Yellow Wind Warning is in place across Ireland from 3:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9th, with strong gusts expected to affect the entire country.
