Overcrowding continues to be a problem at wexford general

Overcrowding became a major problem at Wexford General Hospital yesterday.

The A and E department had to introduce its escalation protocol to deal with the situation. They are asking the public to attend their GP or Caredoc in the first instance where possible before presenting themselves at the hospital.
