A new 79 bed hotel is on the way for Gorey's town centre despite local objections.
The facility from developers Tom and Pat Redmond will be based at 46 Main Street and will also include a restaurant and bar.
The venue will also host a number of events which accomodation for 1,000 patrons.
Wexford County Council granted planning permission for the hotel in February but homeowners nearby lodged an appeal over parking and noise concerns.
Included in the plans are a 37 space car park, EV charging infrastructure and bicycle parking spots but the appelants believed the existing congestion in the town would be exacerbated by the development.
An inspector recommended An Coimisiún Pleanála to uphold the appeal as the location of the hotel would "endanger public safety by reason of traffic hazard or obstruction of road users."
However, the appeal was rejected by the planning commission saying it was satisfied "the development would not seriously injure the amenities of properties in the vicinity".
It also believes the venue's Event Management Plan/Mobility Management Plan and Traffic and Transport Assessment reports were "sufficiently robust".
The development has now been granted subject to certain conditions including a promise that the developer undertakes an "annual monitoring exercise" of events at the hotel for the first three years and "submit the results to the planning authority for consideration".
That report was funded by the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme.
