Pope Leo the Fourteenth has named the Bishop of Ferns, Ger Nash, as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Ossory, while he continues in his current post.
Bishop Nash has expressed his appreciation for the confidence placed in him and says he is looking forward to working with clergy, diocesan staff, religious communities and parishioners in Ossory.
He has acknowledged that the additional role will limit the time he can devote to Ferns, but says he remains deeply committed to the diocese.
He has also pointed to the strong structures, dedicated clergy and staff, and the willingness of people in Ferns to support the work of the diocese.
