Wexford County Council are warning of potential coastal flooding due to high spring tides and gale-force winds expected over the next 24 hours.
The River Slaney is already at high levels, raising concerns of wave overtopping, particularly around Wexford Harbour.
Local authorities are monitoring the situation, with high tide expected at 9:30 AM tomorrow.
In response, the council has set up temporary flood defenses, including sandbag walls and portable barriers.
Sandbags are available at Whitemill Depot between 11am and 4pm today but only for Residents and businesses in flood-prone areas
CEO of the council Eddie Taaffe said the bags are limited
It comes as more rain is on the way from tomorrow as January rainfall was higher than usual.
Saturated ground, higher river levels and tides along with the expected rail fall could potential lead to further flooding.
