Power cuts - update saturday 1pm
ESB Networks crews are continuing to re-connect areas of the South of the country that have been without power since Wednesday's huge storm. So far today around a thousand customers have had power restored in Wexford - from this morning's total of 5,200 premises without power around 3,500 remain to be re-connected. People in the Wellingtonbridge, Campile and Scarawalsh areas were re-connected this morning, Taghmon customers should have power back any time now and Clonegal is expected to be back at 2pm. Another thousand customers in the Clonroche and Kiltealy areas should have electricity restored this evening. The ESB says they'll be working around the clock on repairs and hope to have everyone re-connected by tomorrow night.
