Prendergast to met with labour leader this evening

Labour MEP Phil Prendergast says she'll meet with Eamon Gilmore this evening when the pair both attend an event. She was speaking on South East Radio's Morning Mix after she said Minister Joan Burton should take over the Tánaiste as party leader to avert a disastrous election for Labour. The former midwife who is campaigning for re-election in Europe says a recent opinion poll showing her fairing badly has nothing to do with her decision to air her views She says she didn't realise it would cause such a reaction but that she felt a need to raise the issue.
