Queen wears brooch made by wexford man on day 1 of state visit
The Queen is wearing an orchid brooch on her coat made in part by a Wexford man on the first day of the first state visit of an Irish President to the U.K. Fred Curtis is a master craftsmen of glass and presented the brooch to the queen three weeks ago. It was a gift for the 60th anniversary of her coronation. The flowers are hand cut Waterford crystal, containing 66 diamonds.
