Irish Water is calling on householders to conserve water in order to protect essential supplies during the current hot spell.
It says there's been a steady increase in the number of pumping stations that are being impacted by drought conditions. According to Irish Water, 37 locations are experiencing restrictions and this is likely to increase over the coming days as demand remains high due to the hot weather.
