Two thirds of students admit to having to work around 21 hours a week to fund their college expenses.
While many parents will have to fork out up to €10,000 for each year their child is in third level education. The annual student contribution is capped at €3,000, this is before travel and accommodation costs are factored in. Eoin McGee, from Prosperous Financial Services, says many people don't have any financial plan in place to cope with these costs.
