School costs cause almost 1 in 3 parents to go into debt

More than 30 percent of Irish parents go into debt to cover secondary school costs.

New research says more than half of them find the cost of primary school a financial burden - with this number increasing to 68 percent for secondary school. The study from Zurich Life finds primary school is 80 percent more expensive than parents expect - while secondary school costs 28 percent more than they thought.
