The Dáil will vote today on a motion to abolish water charges.
It calls for the charges to be funded through general taxes - something which Fianna Fáil originally supported. The Sinn Fein motion is set to be defeated, as Fianna Fáil is refusing to back it. Instead, the party is support Fine Gael's position and both parties will vote down the proposal.
