South east fairs badly in tourist poll
The south east has faired badly in an opinion poll of tourists carried out by Failte Ireland. The study was based on the opinions of 10,000 domestic and international holidaymakers who came here last year. Less than half at 48 per cent said they would highly recommend the south east region for holidays. The south east rated lowest in the country for friendliness, food service and transport. Data was analysed from eleven different regions for the study.
