South East Radio's Morning Mix has won Gold in the 'Best Current Affairs Programme (Local/Regional)' category, at tonight's IMRO Radio Awards.
The programme, presented by Alan Corcoran and produced by Lucinda Kelly, has had several nominations in the category in previous years, however tonight it beat stiff competition to take the top prize.
The gala event, being held in The Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny, celebrates the best in local, regional, and national radio.
South East Radio received four nominations in total for the IMROs, with nominations also in the Specialist Speech Programme of the Year category, the Podcast of the Year category, and the Magazine Programme of the Year category also.
