Special garda bank holiday road safety operation in county wexford
Gardai across County Wexford are advising motorists to drive with extreme care over the St. Patrick's Day Bank Holiday weekend. New figures released as part of a major safety campaign show one in five fatal road accident victims last year were not wearing a seatbelt. Garda checkpoints will be mounted around Co. Wexford - targeting seatbelt use. The compliance rate increased from 72 per cent in 2002 - to 93 per cent in 2012.
