Swimming bans in place at 4 co. wexford beaches
One of county Wexford's most popular beaches is off limits with a swimming ban in place. Tests have shown E.Coli levels in the water at Curracloe beach are above mandatory levels. Wexford County Council is monitoring the situation following results of tests which were taken last Thursday. Further samples were taken yesterday with the results expected on Thursday when the situation will be reviewed. Other popular beaches in the county where bathing is currently prohibited are Morriscastle, Cullenstown and Oldbawn in Cahore. Water Services manager with Wexford County Council Gerry Forde is calling on people to obey the bathing bans.
