Taghmon woman with arthritis facing significant bills following medical card loss
A County Wexford woman with rheumatoid arthritis says she's been left without a medical card because she's 20 euro over the income threshold. Taghmon's Margaret Waters says she relys on medication to live her life and is now faced with considerable bills. She says she only found out she no longer had a medical card when her husband went to pick up her medication. Chairperson of the Wexford branch of Arthritis Ireland Rosaleen Finnigan says it's a life long condition that will never be cured and has encouraged her to fight for the card to be re-instated.
