Post mortems are to take place on Monday on the bodies of a couple who drowned in the river Shannon yesterday. They were found in the marina at Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. Gardaí are treating the deaths as accidental. The man was Irish and the woman was from the UK. They'd been living in Germany and were on a river cruiser holiday on the Shannon.
