A major world breaking initiative took place in Wexford yesterday to highlight the ongoing need for foster carers in Wexford and Waterford and how rewarding it is to foster a child.
Duncannon Beach was the venue for the world's largest ever sand message "You CAN foster" Tusla foster families from Wexford and Waterford came together, rakes in hand and created the message in the sand which measured 6,132sq metres – an area of 1.52 acres 359 children in Waterford and Wexford are cared for by 315 foster carers in the region.
