Two opinion polls differ on government popularity
A new opinion poll says the Minister of Justice is causing a drop in support for the Government. The poll published in today's Sunday Times reveals a nine point drop for Fine Gael, to 21. That's just one point ahead of Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein, on 20. The Behaviour and Attitudes survey puts the Labour Party at 9 percent. In contrast, a Millward Brown survey in the Sunday Independent shows a rise in support for Fine Gael to 29 percent, up two, with Labour falling two to 6. That poll puts Fianna Fail at 22, Sinn Fein on 20 and Independents at 23.
