Two People Died In A Crash On The N80

Two people in their 20s have died following a single vehicle crash in County Carlow at around 1.15 this morning.

It happened on the N80 at Leagh close to the Fighting Cocks Two other passengers of the car, a male and female, also aged in their 20s, were taken to St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The N80 at Leagh is currently closed and will remain closed for a number of hours as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene. Local diversions are in place.
