Urgent meetings over controversial payments

The Health Minister has ordered urgent meetings with every health agency in receipt of HSE funding to ensure they are compliant with government pay policy. Agencies in receipt of Section 38 funding - that are found in breach of the pay policy will be called before the Director General of the HSE before Christmas. It follows the revelation that the Central Remedial Clinic has been using charitible donations to top up the salaries of senior staff.
