Residents and businesses in Clonroche and surrounding areas of County Wexford are experiencing disruption to their water supply following a burst water main.
Uisce Éireann crews are currently carrying out repair works and say every effort is being made to restore normal water supplies as quickly and safely as possible.
Repairs are expected to be completed by 4pm today, Friday, October 2nd. Once the work is finished, water supplies will return gradually over the following hours, with customers in higher-lying areas and at the ends of the network potentially facing longer delays.
An alternative water supply is being provided for affected customers in Clonroche village.
A further tanker will be available at Clonroche Community Centre from 9am today.
Customers using the tankers are asked to bring their own containers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Traffic management measures are in place on the N30 at Leeches Bend while repair works are carried out.
Traffic management is clearly signposted, with motorists and local residents asked to cooperate with crews working in the area.
Uisce Éireann Water Operations Manager Padraig Lyng said the priority was to repair the burst and restore supplies to homes and businesses.
The utility has also said that supporting vulnerable customers remains a priority, with registered vulnerable customers receiving direct communications during outages lasting more than four hours.
Customers can receive local updates through Uisce Éireann's text alert service, website and social media channels.
The Uisce Éireann customer care team is available 24 hours a day on 1800 278 278.
