Water Supply Disruption Affecting Bree And Ballyhogue

Uisce Éireann is working to maintain water supplies in the Bree and Ballyhogue areas of County Wexford following an issue at the local water treatment plant.

Some customers may experience low water pressure or temporary interruptions to their supply while repairs are carried out.

Crews are currently on site and Uisce Éireann says water is being tankered to the treated water reservoir in order to support the local network and help maintain supplies for homes, businesses, schools and community facilities.

Repairs are expected to be completed later today.

Padraig Lyng, Water Network Operations Manager with Uisce Éireann, said measures had been put in place to support the network while work continues.

He said customers are being asked to be mindful of their water use while the system remains under pressure.

Uisce Éireann says it can typically take between two and three hours after repairs are completed for normal supply to return fully, although customers at the end of the network or on higher ground may have to wait longer.

Customers can check the latest updates on the Uisce Éireann website or contact the customer care team on 1800 278 278.
