Wexford county council gets a new member today
Wexford County Council will co-opt a new member to it's ranks today. He is well known Oylegate publican, Willie Kavanagh, who was Fianna Fail runner-up to James Browne in the last local elections. The seat has become vacant after James Browne was elected to the Dail following the recent general election. Willie Kavanagh will become a County Councillor at a special meeting of the body in Gorey. This morning he outlined what his priorities are going to be: "One of my main priorities at the moment is to try to secure a main sewarage system for the village of Oylegate which is badly needed, it's long overdue" he said. "And another priority is now that they're going to do a by-pass around Oylegate, to make sure that there is a service road at least in the village of Oylegate from the by-pass" he added.
