Wexford Families Urged to Take Part in LauraLynn 5K & 10K

Wexford families are being encouraged to lace up their runners and take part in LauraLynn’s inaugural 5K and 10K fundraiser at Leopardstown Racecourse on Saturday, October 10th.

Places for the event are booking up quickly, with participants able to run, jog or walk either the 5K or 10K course.

There’s also a special incentive for Wexford participants and other fundraisers, with everyone who raises €200 or more for LauraLynn being entered into a draw to win a two-night bed and breakfast family break at Amber Springs Hotel & Health Spa in Wexford.

The prize includes accommodation for two adults and two children.

LauraLynn, Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice, provides specialist hospice and palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the country.

Its services include symptom management, short breaks, family support, end-of-life care and bereavement support.

The organisation relies primarily on fundraising to provide its services free of charge and currently supports 20 families in Wexford.

Event organiser Ciara Donnelly is encouraging people to sign up soon.

She says the event is about community, fun and making a difference, while thanking Amber Springs for donating the family break.

Every step taken and every euro raised will help LauraLynn continue its work supporting children and families across Ireland.

Participants can register for either the 5K or 10K and are encouraged to fundraise for LauraLynn.

Those who raise €200 or more will automatically be entered into the Amber Springs prize draw.
