Wexford General Hospital is experiencing increased pressure on its Emergency Department after a spike in patient numbers using its facilities.
The hospital has implemented their escalation protocol and are asking the public to attend their GP or Caredoc in the first instance where possible. It comes following the publishing of the INMO's Trolleywatch figures yesterday which show that 10 patients are waiting on a bed at Wexford General.
