Wexford House Prices Rise 6.6% as National Market Cools

House prices in County Wexford have continued to rise, according to the latest Daft.ie Sales Report.

Listed prices in Wexford in the third quarter of 2026 were, on average, 6.6% higher than a year earlier.

The typical listed price of a four-bedroom detached house in the county now stands at €479,000.

The increase in Wexford is higher than the national average, with listed prices across the country rising by 3% in the year to September.

Nationally, the average listed price across all property types in the third quarter was just under €445,000.

However, the report suggests the pace of house price inflation is beginning to ease, with transaction prices rising by just 0.8% over the year — the slowest rate of increase since 2020.

The gap between initial asking prices and final sale prices has also narrowed considerably, falling to 2.6% nationally from 6.8% a year earlier.

The report’s author, economist Ronan Lyons, says the figures point to a cooling in the housing market, with homes also taking longer to sell.
