Wexford ifa calls for more staff at downgraded veterinary office in enniscorthy
The Chair of Wexford IFA says he's angry about the downgrading of the district veterinary office in Enniscorthy. Pat Murray says the loss of the majority of the clinic's staff is causing major problems for the county's farmers. There were originally 24 people working in the office before the government decided to move it's services to Castlebar leaving just two staff to deal with farmer queries. Pat Murray says there needs to be a political will to follow up on the situation where farmers go into the office and there's no staff to deal with them. He says many farmers are not online and rely on the office to deal with their queries and paperwork.
