A man arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Wexford man in Waterford City yesterday remains in Garda custody.
28-year-old James Banville, a father of three from Raheen, Clonroche, died following the incident on New Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward. In particular, they are appealing to two women to come forward, as it's thought they had been in John's Lane at the Park Lane Apartments between 3am and 4am and may have witnessed the incident. A 35 year old man who was arrested in connection with the attack is being questioned at Waterford Garda Station.
