Wexford Schools Invited to Make a Difference in 2025-2026 AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards

AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards 2025-2026 have officially launched, inviting all schools across County Wexford to participate and submit their impactful community projects. Following the impressive achievements of two local schools, Coláiste Bríde Enniscorthy and Ramsgrange Community School, Wexford students are once again being encouraged to showcase how they are making a difference in their communities. Coláiste Bríde Enniscorthy emerged as a standout in last year’s awards, securing the Junior Small Group Financial Prize of €1,250 for their innovative app aimed at helping young people manage their finances. Meanwhile, Padraic Barry from Ramsgrange Community School earned the Junior Individual Prize of €500 for his influential work in the "Not Around Us" anti-vaping and smoking campaign. The AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards celebrate schools that are making a real difference across three key areas: Environmental, Social, and Financial. This includes a wide range of community-focused activities such as volunteering, fundraising, peer education, environmental conservation and awareness campaigns. The awards provide a platform for schools to showcase their efforts in inspiring positive change within their local areas. The 2024-2025 programme saw tremendous participation, with 265 registrations, 124 school submissions and 201 project entries from 25 counties across Ireland. This overwhelming response illustrates the growing commitment of schools to engage in meaningful activities beyond the classroom. Orlaith Ryan, Chief Customer Officer at AIB, expressed her excitement for the upcoming programme, saying, "The enthusiasm and innovation demonstrated by schools in last year’s programme were truly inspiring. This is a real opportunity for students to engage in meaningful learning outside the traditional curriculum and to become active agents of positive change in their local communities. We strongly encourage all schools to consider submitting their projects and join us in celebrating the remarkable impact they are making." The AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards are a fantastic opportunity for schools in Wexford to get involved and demonstrate their commitment to positive change.
