Write Your Own Story, written by CBS student Hasib Zia, follows Daniel, a teenager who feels isolated and disconnected while spending most of his time online and comparing himself to unrealistic lives on social media. Struggling with loneliness and a lack of belonging, his life begins to change when a classmate reaches out and invites him to join the school debate club. Through friendship and connection, Daniel discovers a sense of purpose and belonging. The short film highlights the challenges many young people face with mental health and the importance of human connection and community.
