Its emerged that Wexford Fine Gael TD Paul Kehoe played a leading role in delivering support for Leo Vardaker to become party leader

According to the Irish Times Paul Kehoe held a secret meeting with Leo Vardaker last July where he promised votes from Enda Kenny supporters within the party if Mister Varadker did not mount a heave against the Taoseach Speaking on South East Radios Morning Mix fellow Wexford Fine Gael TD Michael Darcy agreed.
