Wexford is bidding for to bring Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann to the town in 2020.
The town has never hosted the event before which would bring an estimated four hundred thousand people over a nine day period. The event was last held in the county in Enniscorthy in 1999 and 2000. Local member of Comhlatas Ceoilteoiri Eireann Paddy Berry says Wexford County Council are also on board.
