Young people in County Wexford are being urged to take up a career in the tourism sector.
The call has come from the Irish Hotels Federation as the sector struggles with a labour shortage. It is seeking to recruit over six thousand entry level employees each year across all levels of the hospitality business. Jobs in the sector can be got locally with the IHF saying tourism supports 7,700 jobs in Wexford along with contributing €223 million to the local economy.
