A wild stag was spotted crossing the Tombrack to Ferns road around 9pm last night, with one driver having a very lucky escape.
Locals are reminded this is a known hotspot for deer activity, particularly along the Tombrack–Ferns and Tombrack–Strahart/Clohamon roads, where traffic is heavier and bends are especially dangerous. It’s that time of year again, so please take extra care on rural roads — especially as the evenings grow darker. Slow down, stay alert, and drive safe.
