Woman ordered to pay back benefits after finding vegas marriage was legal

A Dublin mother has been ordered to pay back €30,000 in welfare, after claiming single parent benefit despite being married.

39-year-old Michelle Burke from the Cappagh Road in Finglas was cleared of fraud in the Dublin District Court yesterday. She told the Judge she didn't realize her wedding at the 'Hollywood Wedding Chapel' in Las Vegas was legally binding.
